CAMBRIDGE, Vt. -- A burst of straight-line winds in the Upper Valley wiped out a dairy farm and sheared hundreds of trees in half Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, Lamoille County.The newest building there was built to withstand 130 mph winds and this storm ripped it and a nearby mobile home to shreds. "We still have roadways we're cutting out to access people to see what's happened and how bad it is," Cambridge Fire Chief Alan Cary said. "I'm being told, for a 3- to 4-mile stretch, it's just like this: power lines down and everything in its path destructed.One person in the barn was hurt but did not require a trip to the hospital. Nearby farmers are helping to milk the herd Saturday.
