Judge Refuses To Dismiss Abandoned Body Case

A judge has refused to dismiss charges in the case of a Newport, N.H., man accused of leaving the body of a friend outside a hospital.

Craig Beaudry is charged with falsifying evidence in the death of Justin Brown, 21, last July. Brown was found outside the entrance of Valley Regional Hospital.

He died of a drug overdose. The state maintains Beaudry took moved Brown's body from Beaudry's apartment to keep the police from going there to investigate the death.

Beaudry is scheduled for trial on May 22 in Sullivan County Superior Court.
